Here is an oil painting study that I painted of an older man’s face, created in a warmer monochrome.

Something about portraits, I just love the depth of a person that can be found while studying a person’s portrait.
I wish I could give credit to the original photographer of this man’s image, but I don’t know who it is…

Poem

::::
take a breath my friend… my brother…
look through your, my, our darkness – dear, dear fellow…
beyond the screams there is light shining forever…
you’re not alone…
wait – please stop…
look at me, you, them…
see you, see me, see them…
you’re not alone…
do i even see you?
is this even me, is this even you?
this is not you; this is not me…
is all this anything anyway?
wait a second please. let us spare just one moment.
do you feel anything? do i feel anything?
something isn’t right…
these eyes stare behind wishes and forgotten dreams…
broken – feels like forever…
you’re not alone… dear fellow…
