This is an oil painting of a Tiger that initially came about as a means to offer a donation to the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast during their Auction at the 2019 Paws & Claws Gala Event.
I painted this tiger to illustrate my capabilities as an artist in painting animal portraits.
My donation wasn’t t0 have people bid on this actual tiger painting, but to bid on a custom portrait of the wining bidders animal.
As it turns out, I enjoyed painting this tiger so much, that I have now decided to do a series of some exotic animals… Certainly a win, to find another subject matter that gives me joy to work with back in the studio.
So right now this tiger painting is the first one completed and I have four others that are drawn on canvas and are awaiting the next layer towards their completion…
So keep an eye out for more exotic animal portraits to come. The next one I am going to focus on is a beautiful Macaw…!!!
